Its like what happens when you cross a phoenix with a super black hole; it's powerful enough to destroy itself, only to be reborn in a vicious cycle of torment and pain. Or in this case, nonsense.

Possibly. There are some mods on these boards that, quite frankly, annoy the hell out of me. But SA I have a certain amount of respect for. I know it looks like sucking up, but it's the truth!

Plus the US version has race humor in it which really isn't that funny. Usually.

Don't worry man. I found myself watching C-SPAN 2's BookTV for about half an hour the other day. In case you don't have something like it over there, it's a channel that talks about books. And nothing else. The show I was watching was about the publication of the Times Books American Presidents Series. Here's the description of the show from the channel's website:
"Times Books, an imprint of Henry Holt and Company, is publishing short biographies of all 42 American presidents, with a special emphasis on each man's time in office. To date, they have published 24 biographies, and they expect to complete the series in 2010. The idea for the series came from Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., who was the general editor of the series until his death in February 2007. Book TV interviewed three of the biographers who have contributed to the series, as well as Paul Golob, the editorial Director of Times Books"
So, yes, I watched a show where a faceless narrator asked three historians and some editor about their work on a series of books where they chatted about, amongst other things, the benefits of email during the editing process, the idealogical makeup of their fellow biographers, and their opinions on the shift to social history and scholarly America's newfound appreciation for the historical presidents.
Watching the news channels doesn't mean that you're old, watching TV to learn about books does.
