You know, when you go to a doctor for a yearly check-up and they measure your height and weight and stuff, and put a little dot on the graph to see how you compare to your fellow supposedly female young people?

Um, no, I don't know. I don't think I've had a yearly checkup since I was about seven. But when I went to get my arm X-rayed, I said to the doctor "I bet you I weigh thirty-five kg." and he said "How old are you?" and I said "Eleven" and he said "No, you'll weigh forty at least." and I weighed myself on his scales and I weighed 35 kg, give or take a hundred grams.

I can give you my height and weight anyway. Yeah, yeah, I know, no proof.

So how old are you claiming to be anyway, 11?

No, I'm thirteen. 11 was two years ago. But I might've been ten, so ten is three years ago, for the record. And that wasn't the most recent time I got my arm X-rayed, because the most recent was actually my wrist, last year. I popped a ligament when I tripped over playing netball. Netball is the second greatest sport ever, beaten only by tennis.

Like basketball, only you can't dribble, and some people can't go all over the court. You use a smaller ball, and in my four or five netball years, I have seen about six boys playing.

I'll be honest...I thought Douglas Adams invented netball.

Okay, I've heard it said that you are 13, but this is still an unconfirmed rumor.

Well, if The Apple Core is talking about me, then he realises that I am what I say I am, but I resent the fact that he thinks that I was trying to make him believe that I was a man because it's really your fualt, mrxak. And now I'm confused.

Actually, I was talking about mrxak.

Woah, totally lost comprehension here.

(I'm not going to ask who Douglas Adams is, I'm just not!)

I guess I understand what he's saying, but it doesn't make any sense, so I'm just gonna move on.

I'll forgive you for not knowing who Heinlein is, but Douglas Adams? I mean, c'mon! :P

I think I read that once... At least the first book, but I was about eight, and so can't remember it that well. I do remember the babelfish translater, though.

[EDIT] And the lab rats! How could I have forgotten them?

Yeah, ok. I was eight! At least I remember they're superior to humans. And you can't fault me with the Babelfish.

(Just being righteously indignant. Doctor's orders.)

I'll stop talking about it, as I seem to always say the wrong thing. I do like the start, though.
