NT4/2000 is in my opinion at least, the 2 most stable and bestest windoze systems, if such a thing exists,

but I'm not allowed to post the above content, because that would be a platform war starter. (please don't argue)

I categorically refuse to accept and therefore deny that it would be a platform war starter.

How would it run on a top of the line MacBook Pro C2D?

No, NT 4 is completely dependant on BIOS, which the MacIntels lack. However, under WinE...

Oh, right. Limitations.
NT 4 has no direct rendering capability. This means no DirectX, no fast OpenGL. It is capable of hardware-accelerated indirect rendering (which *does* make a difference, actually), but it isn't suited to playing games past, say, Starcraft.
You cannot get a Java runtime environment for NT 4. The Microsoft Java runtime environment is no longer available-Sun killed it.
Flash Player for NT is already obsolete.
Microsoft has already stopped patching NT 4 and will cease to allow downloading of patches at the end of this year-so I'm going to have to install and image a copy by then, so I can restore from backup with no going through and installing each and every program again...

However, NT 4 will actually print to an Appletalk printer, provided you install the Appletak network drivers.

You put what in my Power Mac?

So now I need to find a cheap copy of Windows 2000 to install on that 300 Mhz PII laptop.

I have yet to touch Win2k. I can say nothing about it.

It would be difficult to force this back on topic with a cattle prod.

A high voltage taser would do a better job, but only slightly.
