My hair has always managed to revert to the same middling-length style no matter what I do with it. I'm just going to let it grow out, to see if it looks better long.

Yeah... I need a haircut. It's getting difficult to manage again.

It reminds me of a book. I don't know why. I think I read it in grade 4.

A Wrinkle in Time? That talks about tesseracts, which sounds sort of like tessellations...

I did laundry on Sunday at my parents' place. The washers and dryers in my building cost $1.50 each (making it $3.00 to wash and dry a single load), which really does make it worth taking the bus across town with a gym bag full of dirty laundry, for weekly shirts/jeans/socks/underwear at least. I think I'm going to need to pay up to do a couple of loads of sheets and towels soon, though...

Wow, ours are $1.00-$1.50 for a full load (the dryers usually need two or three cycles). How big are your machines there?

Wait, you're not even on campus, Moony...

They're quite big -- however, my loads of laundry aren't, if I actually want to separate my whites/lights from my bright/dark colours. You can't even turn down the water level if you're doing a half-sized load, so I always feel bad for wasting water, too.

And that's $3.00 Canadian for a wash and dry, remember. Although with the exchange rate where it is these days, that's more than $2.50 US. :P

I have to do at least three loads in ours. But, that's every two and a half weeks.

The most amusing part is when people complain about having to restart the dryer 4 times, then I come in, clean the almost-opaque lint trap, and have it done in one cycle. Think, people!

They should put up warnings: Not cleaning lint trap before using dryer will quadruple cleaning time and poses a fire risk!.

The fire risk part is so that people listen.

They still won't listen even after you add that.

There's a sign that says something like "Unattended clothes will be incinerated"

It's helpful if you remember that your enemies can't catch you while your clothes are on fire.

More than "real well."
Making the "may be a fire risk" more than just an attention-getter.

Actually, if the lint has nylon or any other popular plastic-based fabric in it, it's more than just a fire risk; when the lint burns, the plastics could become a vapor, and if you breath it in, it could dry out and coat the inside of your throat. Not pleasant.

Yet another reason to always clean out the lint trap. :P
