Redline looks to be nice... I'm definately going to check it out to see if its as addictive as the rest, which is more than I've done with the last couple futuristic games.

Interesting you should mention that, DD. I've been thinking a lot lately about Bioware's Aurora engine (Neverwinter Nights, to the uninitiated), and I can't think of much, if anything, in Cythera that would prevent a remake (or sequel, or tribute module) using that toolset. Well, perhaps the sequel would be out of the question, with this 'special feature' Glenn mentioned. I'm pretty sure I could even create PCs or NPCs of my own story characters, complete with special abilities. Haven't thought too much about anyone else's - sorry Moonshadow, no chill-touch; you'd have to make do with ice storm and cone of cold Posted Image Now, if only the OpenKnights project would hurry up and finish those cross-platform developers' tools...

Oops, except support for a large party. Even with the second expansion, it only allows two henchmen. There's one possible workaround I've thought of, but its ugly, and you'd have no control over the extra NPCs. In that regard, it's probably better suited to building a tribute module rather than a remake.

Moonshadow - nice to be seen Posted Image

^Bump^
(sorry for double posting)

Eureka! While searching though some old mac addict CD's I stumbled upon the most amazing demo for a resource editor called Resoucerer. Like ResEdit it allows you to access all the data in both file and aplication-but it also organizes the data into resource groups.

Amazingly enough I found a piece of data that read: "this copy of cythera is a prerelease version designed for dubuggin purposes only..." (etc, etc, etc). Thus meaning one of two things: Cythera was released before it was completed or Glenn was to lazy to remove that tidbit.

The demo is a "free to distribute" product and I hope to upload it onto the addons page soon...

At long last our dreams are nearing reality!
