Well, I made the starting map for the game (although not on an internet-capable computer), and I decided to put the Grolk in. I'll email you when I get everything together.

Hmmm... this would be interesting for NetMech too - inter-clan wars.

Well, if you were referring to MaG, it would probably get you addicted - you'd say "one more game, for my score..." and keep on going.

If you were referring to ACQ, then you wouldn't be able to commit without playing a large number of multiplayer games. I suppose I'd add in an "AutoCalc" function for when you have a much larger fleet and/or don't care about losses.

The 3 or 4 times I tried to download NetMech it came out corrupted.

You don't seem to understand: this is not a ladder. It's a single game, which is completely separate from any others

It also allows for a bit of balancing, since one player can be put as gaitori or Grolk and others Salrillian and Audemedon. If you have to play Grolk vs. Aud, how can you really create a "ladder?"

Well, can you give me a good link? I really want to get it, but after 3 failed attempts at one site, I'd think I'd want to do it at a different one...

Heh, searching for "NetMech," the first site that came out was "www.magleague.com"

I'm downloading it now, for the last time. (URL http://download1.act...chinstaller.hqx , readme http://download1.act...w2netreadme.hqx )

If it doesn't work I'll come back and say so, if it does, I'll come back and say so.

heh ok, If that doesn't work i'll give you the ip to the MaG hotline server i help run, it has netmech under it's files list and you can try to dl it off of the server. If that doesn't work then you're screwed.

This sounds great... who are the other clans? I would be really interested in joining one but I have no idea who to talk to.

Hmm... in my (very short) absence, this idea seems to have gained some momentum...
If you want to know how it would be done, I'd send you a list of where all your fleets are (and those detectable by your scouts), and put up a map on www.obain.f2s.com (well if the site's free :P)

I might have already mentioned it, but I have the starter map, in AW6 drawing format to make my life easier. I'll just have to get it onto this computer...

Putting up a races list now... http://www.obain.f2s.com/racelist.html

BTW. NetMech isn't working. I already told you, but...oh well, just saying that.

Ok here's the MaG hotline server...64.44.101.80...(use guest2 for log and pass) look for netmech under the mechwarrior 2 downloads in the files section. The game is free so it's not warez, we put no warez on the MaG server. So go there and download it. It definately works because i've done it myself just to check it out. Once you dl it let me know, because if it still doesn't work it's not the programs fault...it's the person running the program :-)
