Back on the general topic...

I have to say...I've always thought the PlayStation controllers are hideous. The joystick are in exactly the wrong place, requiring thumb contortions to reach themn with any real effeciancy.

XBox controller make some sense, but it's rather heavy, nad too thick

GameCube controller ROCKS. True, it was designed for younger children, but it's really not notacable at all. On the other hand(no pun intented) I have fairly small hands.

You just have screwed up thumbs.

The beauty of the Playstation controller is the simplicity. It doesn't have any of the c- and z-button crap of the Gamecube. Not to mention the fact that it (Playstation controller) was designed after the SNES.

The X-Box controller is just incredibly poorle made. It is also quite similiar to the Dreamcast, which doesn't help it at all.

What does that have to do with anything?

The SNES was the pinnacle of gaming.

ENOUGH! The PS2 is the source of all gaming evils. The SNES controller was the only flaw in that game system. The Playsaton, PSX and PS2 all have horrible controllers. End of story. Period.

The reason I originally started this topic is because I beleived the all of the major technological corporations of this day could all add somthing useful to an all powerful gaming system. There is no need to argue. So, let me just say this. How about we all just list what each of the major companies of today could offer in this arena.

I can see it now: A sleek new package that relies entirely on basic, non-violent games with sub-par graphics that would work real well if only it didn't crash every thirteen seconds. Wow, the future is here! Posted Image

Actually, Shinobi revived his old topic with something that was pertinant instead of just creating a new topic (like he usually does). The topic may be old, but its still full of youthful stamina. Posted Image

If you've never used an Xbox controller I wouldn't dis it. If you've never used a new Xbox controller, I wouldn't dis it either.

Xbox is currently the superior piece of hardware, hands down, and their selection is following suit.

My Xbox runs Halo better than our Dual 1ghz G4.

I also prefer the old controllers. Posted Image

The Sega Genesis blew big-time. I maintain that the original NES was the greatest gaming system ever. Its still easily the most entertaining.
