Probably, but what I meant is that you're a diverse person. I didn't see any swing though.

Brian Setzer Orchestra in there. I also have CDs of Squirrel Nut Zippers and a Hot Jazz Saturday Night compilation CD from a local radio station. Swing dancing is actually the only method of dancing I'm decent at, aside from moshing and slam dancing.

I've heard Royal Crown Revue before and I've been to two live Big Bad Voodoo Daddy shows in the past. One at the 9:30 Club and one up in Baltimore.

Ya, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy came to our town for free concerts, and then Brian Setzer swings by here quite often (no pun intended) So it's cool to talk to him.

My favorite band-type person to talk with is probably Dave Grohl. Nice fellow, I've known his mom for a few years now. A friend of mine also used to open for his band back when Grohl was in high school around here a while back. Other than that the only close encounter I've had was in January when Butch Vig (produced for Nirvana, plays in Garbage) held a restaurant door open for me in Madison, WI on his way to the bathroom. You've met Dave Grohl? Of Foo Fighters and Nirvana fame? Presently considered the most popular man in Rock music?

Yeah. His mom used to teach at my high school and she owns a small dry cleaners near here. I'm going to try and finagle a ticket or two from her before their show here the end of the month.

Five degrees of Bacon?

Pretty much everybody knows somebody who is of some importance in a celebrity sense. As it goes the only two I've had any contact with in the music world have been Grohl and Vig, although I'd hardly count Vig's holding a door for me as meaning much of anything.

There's a party game where you try and see how many degrees (people) it takes you to get to a certain celebrity. This was originally done with Kevin Bacon (hence that one Visa CheckCard commercial with him).
