How significant does the beard have to be? I have about 50 very thin hairs of about 4 mm in length. However, a field of blackheads and a very large zit have come in and divided it into 3 parts. Surely this phenomenon counts for something?

I am I.

I am the sum total of everything in this universe from the beginning of time all the way up until the very second this post is being read. The product of my placement, the result of the people around me, and the prime solution of my actions. I am the me that exists in the minds of others. I am the me that exists inside and outside of my own mind.

tl;dr?

I am my beard.

So many pieces of me, falling to the counter, being swept up and deposited in the trash or simply washed down the drain of life. All that's left is the smooth, raw underneath of what used to be a man. No protection. No cushion. Nothing. There is blood. There is stinging sensations. Even the sharpest of razors still, essentially, cut you to little bits; they scrape off everything that was.

What is left is not barren. It is not...infertile. But it is less.

It is a foundation on which to build empires.

This leads to a fundamental question we must all ask ourselves: What am I building with my face?

No, I don't here that, but I sure do hear it.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid that the post above mine now has the sound turning into the sound of someone failing this topic due to its incorrect execution.

I now have "That guy with the beard." on all of my business cards, so I can't shave.

Your business cards sound considerably more interesting than my own. Perhaps I should add "that guy with the accent" to them?

Especially at the ol' law school networking events, each attorney leaves the room with like 100 identical standard law student business cards. Odds of them remembering anybody from their name are slim to none. That guy with the beard (or that guy with the accent) might just give you that edge.

An additional bonus is that it's a conversation starter if they actually bother to look at your card and, if you do what I did and replace your address line with the phrase (who is actually going to need to get your home address off of your personal card anyway?), you can give the card out as a preprinted "call me" to various lovely females who you don't have the time to properly chat up (or really can't - waitresses, etc.) and not have to worry about them randomly showing up at your door at 4AM on Tuesday morning.

I'm taking anything right now so um, this sounds like a plan. What exactly can I put on my business card though?

PhD, Senator, whatever you want. These things are really just a formality anyway.
