If I remember my internet lore correctly, it was a group effort done by SA. If you watch carefully, the balls spawn at the same point in each 'section' (in each 1/16 square) So that they'd all be capable of being put together. Neat, huh? If I also remember correctly, this wasn't an original idea; it's been done many times before. (some website other then SA started it, I believe)
