Are you talking about booting in OS 9 or Classic, because the first one doesn't have the problem but the latter does.

Okay, I've got an iMac G4 so I guess that explains it. I have trouble believing Apple actually enhanced classic though, I thought they gave up on it because they had already been thinking of the Intel switch.

Yeah, it worked with Tiger on PPC Macs, just not Intels.

Well I guess it's time to stock up on old Macs. I've got two, though one's been at a repair place for a year...I don't think it's coming back but at least I don't pay until it does!
