I agree with you completely. My school also puts the annual winter formal in the worst spot. It's in that one position where it's right after coming back to school, yet right before exams. I could go on a ten minute rant from here, but I won't. I will just conclude with a "grr".

Grr...

I actually come to Earth for schooling. Granted, the commute takes a good month in one of my Mantas (my Destroyer is slower), but oh well.

A month from Sirgil III? There are ways to avoid rush hour traffic, you know. And you could always upgrade to something faster (Mantas are so outdated).

Get a scoutship. Upgrade the engines.

Or get a Corvette and make a living room out of the cargo bay, and land it in the parking lot.

Scoutships kinda suck. I need something powerful, considering the increase in pirates lately. I think I'll just end up upgrading the overall speed of my Rebel Destroyer. I like that ship...

Scoutships rule when you outfit them properly. They can take down kestrels and frigates and fed cruisers with ease.

And montypythoning.

I think maybe a Defender with some upgrades. Nothing can catch it.

Defenders are very underrated. They're awesome.

I used to take out pirate fleets in those things. They make good ships when you need more money and you're down on your luck.

I used to love Defenders. They would always be my second ship when I was a youngin' (8 or 9, probably). Then I grew up and made the Destroyer A an Argosy (took longer to get but worth it).

As far as beating Defenders goes, I just wait till they're right in front of my ship and I nail them with a torpedo.

Proton Turrets are much better. They look and sound cooler, while doing more damage. It's worth the extra mass.

This is EVC we're talking about... not #ev3. Also, proton turrets are only really good against shields.

That's why I use them. I'm usually a close range pilot, though I am capable at flying to a further distance when my shields are low.

Did I say shields? I meant armor...

And try "T.A.G." with pure close-range tactics =P

Shields, armor, etc. Point is, protons are stronger.

Never tried/heard of "T.A.G.".

As for close-range tactics, tractor beams are nice.

Tractor beams pwn alien cruisers.

"T.A.G." is the final Artemis Guild mission.

It has been my experience that caps lock is a key you do not want to press while chewing on an alien ship. For some reason, the tractor gets weak enough to allow the cruiser to turn when caps lock is on.
